Mission-Critical Server-Speak 102

Headroom: (Not that fictitious British artificial intelligence agent named Max)
Our definition: the remaining or unused capacity in a server. Determining the amount of headroom you have for applications and workloads is crucial in managing growth and future needs. Virtualization: (Not the Oculus Rift2 your son is begging you to buy)

Processor/central processing unit: (Not the person who reviews your tax return)

Memory: (Not your ability to remember the things you want to forget)
Our definition: the hardware component that temporarily stores data on chips. Memory chips attach to a piece of hardware known as a memory module. The memory module slides into a memory slot located on the motherboard.3
