New Solutions for Evolving SAP Application Landscapes

This week at the SAP SAPPHIRE NOW conference, Lenovo announced new solution offerings for SAP applications that help customers address the needs of evolving SAP application landscapes. These solution offerings help customers enable new capabilities for private and public cloud implementations for their SAP Business Suite applications and enhance their SAP HANA implementations.

Customers looking to expand their SAP Business Suite application environments can take advantage of performance enhancements in System x X6 servers with the new Intel Xeon E7 v3 processor, which include System x3850 X6 and System x3950 X6 as well as the Flex System x480 X6 and Flex System x880 X6. Speaking of performance, the System x3850 X6 recently achieved a world-record for SAP SD 2-tier application performance!

Customers implementing private and public cloud environments for their SAP Business Suite applications can take advantage of the EMC VSPEX technology for classic SAP solution-based landscapes and consolidate these applications on Flex System servers with EMC storage. The new performance capabilities combined with the new public and private cloud capabilities enable customers to virtualize and consolidate their SAP Business Suite applications, simplify management and speed deployment.

Customers planning to deploy SAP HANA can take advantage of new workload-optimized servers that can support up to 3TB of memory per node enabling them to scale their Business Warehouse on HANA environments up to 168TB. These new solutions are certified for SAP HANA and meet new certification requirements that make them SPS10 ready. In addition, new support for EMC storage in SAP TDI environments gives customers the ability to choose the deployment model that best fits their needs based on the resources, infrastructure and business processes they have in place. Lenovo Enterprise Solution Services can install the configuration that best meets your needs whether you are deploying S4/HANA, Suite on HANA, BW on HANA or other analytics applications.
