Summer is finally here! To prepare you for those hot days, we asked the amazing Bridget Davies aka The Internet Chef to share with us some of her favourite recipes for healthy summer smoothies, shakes and juices. She has come up with 6 recipes that will make your taste buds tremble.
1. Post Workout Juice
This is one of the most delicious and useful juices you can make for your after gym workouts. It rehydrates naturally and thoroughly allows the body time to recover, whilst also tasting fantastic!
2. Summer Peach & Almond Smoothie
When peaches are ripe, this is a wonderful way to celebrate their glory! Its a delicious easy smoothie that just needs you to throw everything into a blender and whizz.
3. Super Cherry Vitamin Juice
It turnss out cherries are not just for pies. Pit them and throw them through your juicer for a quick pick-me-up drink, packed full of essential vitamins.
4. Skinny lava flow
When Bridget took a recent trip to Hawaii she was slurping these drinks down to keep cool (they also tasted incredible). Unfortunately the ones she tried were full of sugar, so she set about making a healthy version to keep that summer vibe going as long as possible. Introducing the skinny lava flow.
5. Green Lemonade | Healthy Juice
Lemonade that is green and packed full of nutritious ingredients, need we say more? This is the perfect drink for summer hydration!
6. Healthy Chocolate Milkshake | Dairy free!
Just because you're watching what you eat does not mean that you have to miss out on that delicious chocolate taste. This "shake" is Bridget's go-to summer chocolate drink that takes seconds to make. You can also add a couple of tablespoons of your favourite vegetable protein powder for an added workout boost!
